Released in June 1994, the DW-6600 raised G-Shock's game by introducing a new technology (at the time) - which came in the form of the electro-luminescence blue backlight. The DW-6600 is one of the longest production G-Shocks and it uses the same bezel as the iconic 6900. The words 'Electro Luminescence' or 'FOX FIRE' can be seen on JDM models, whereas export models had 'Illuminator' printed instead.
